HASTINGS – The Midland dance and cheer teams secured it back-to-back conference titles as each team won on Saturday at the Great Plains Athletic Conference Cheer and Dance Championships.
Midland’s cheer team had a score at the top of the list of six GPAC cheer teams competing, distancing itself from second-place Northwestern by just less than three points, 69.92-67.08.
The Warriors’ dance team took the top spot of eight dance teams. Midland scored nearly nine points higher than the next highest finisher, Morningside, at 84.33-75.50.
Midland next competes at the Dordt Invitational on Saturday, Feb. 16, before hosting NAIA regional competition on Friday, Feb. 22.
