CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – The American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) named Nebraska Wesleyan’s Peter Lash as its Men’s Basketball Athlete of the Week.
Lash averaged 23.5 points per game and 10.5 rebounds per game in two wins and was named the MVP of the 2021 Snyder Classic on Saturday, November 27. Lash shot 55.6 percent from the field with an 80 percent free-throw shooting percentage and averaged 35.9 minutes per game in the Snyder Classic.
In a win over Howard Payne, Lash scored 23 points and grabbed 12 rebounds then followed up the next evening with 24 points and nine rebounds in NWU’s comeback win against East Texas Baptist.
It is the first career A-R-C Men’s Basketball Athlete of the Week accolade for Lash and the first award by a Prairie Wolf in the 2021-2022 basketball season. Lash is a native of Charlotte, N.C.
Nebraska Wesleyan opens A-R-C action on Wednesday, Dec. 1 with a trip to Pella, Iowa to play Central College with tip-off set for 7:30 p.m.
