CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – Nebraska Wesleyan University had three players named to the All-Conference team when the 2019 American Rivers Conference announced the 2019 All-American Rivers women’s tennis All-Conference team.
Freshman Brooke Sailer led the Prairie Wolves All-Conference selections earning 1st-Team All-Conference in both singles and doubles play. Han Le and Kailey Jay-Kissler were honorable mention All-Conference selections. Sailer becomes only the second NWU women’s tennis player to earn 1st-Team All-Conference since joining the new league four years ago.
Sailer (Lincoln, Neb./Lincoln East) went 6-2 overall at No. 1 singles play to rank second in the conference in wins at the No. 1 singles spot. Sailer was 3-5 at No. 1 doubles to earn All-Conference in that as well. She teamed up with Kailey Jay-Kissler at No. 1 doubles and that tandem had three of NWU’s five total doubles wins.
Le (Lincoln, Neb./Lincoln High) finished the year 4-4 playing all but one match at No. 2 singles and Jay-Kissler (Lincoln, Neb./Lincoln East) was 3-5 playing seven matches at No. 3 singles.
Nebraska Wesleyan finished the 2019 conference season this fall with a 2-6 overall record.
